We have a guest room with a bathroom either for those already connected to the sangha or interested in Buddhism, those who want to organise an individual retreat, or those who want stay overnight when you come and visit or attend our events.
We offer regular weekly events and in that regard we are more like a church than a retreat centre. Guests are welcome to join any of these events, to take some quiet time, to walk on the hills and to spend time with residents or in the temple living room, shrine room or library.
There is no alcohol/drugs/smoking or meat/fish in the house, and the room is self-catering using our resident’s shared kitchen. We ask for a minimum donation of £30 for the first night and £20 for each subsequent night.
If you’d like to check our availability do get in touch.
We also have six long-term residents here at the temple and rooms occasionally become available. All the rooms are en-suite and range from £340 to £400 a month including bills. We eat together once a week on a Friday night and join for practice but we also have our own jobs, lives etc. There are lots of shared spaces here and a big garden – it’s a beautiful place to live for the right person. If you’d like to know more or go onto our waiting list, do email firstname.lastname@example.org.
